Nick Wrzesinski > 2008-05-21 (Day 19) Isn't this what everyones B&H box looks like when they open it up? I got some new toys and will be putting them through their paces over the next couple days. So far I like them a lot. I also got a box from RRS, Borrowglass.com, and Phoxle. It's going to be a busy weekend.
Nick Wrzesinski > 2008-06-13 Happy friday the 13th! It's a good day for me but not so much for my boss. I put in my notice at work today and it was a lot like breaking up from a long relationship. I enjoyed my job and the coworkers at it but sometimes you need to take a leap of faith and go for what you think is best for you. Welcome to my new home office. Well the only thing new about it is that it's where I'll be working from. I really need to clean my desk off don't I? If it's not obvious enough, can anyone guess who my new employer is? Nick Wrzesinski > 2008-06-15 Happy Birthday to me! I didn't feel like taking a new photo today so you get one from yesterday of my uncle's dog Sunshine. It was a good weekend. I could use an extra day off to catch up on sleep and do some laundry though.
Nick Wrzesinski > 2008-06-08 Yesterday I went to another fantastic wedding. This time it was the area so it was nice not to have a 7 hour car ride home the day after. Today I culled the photos from yesterday, fell asleep a couple times on the couch, went for coffee with my ma, and finally ended up at the Chicago Blues Festival in Grant Park. The music was good, BB King was the main act and was great. He plays so effortlessly it's amazing to watch. The sound was too quiet but I can't really complain since it's a free show. The weather has been hot and miserably humid here the last couple of days so it was nice that it cooled off some today and the humidity was bearable. This is sunset from Grant Park as we listened to great Blues.
Nick Wrzesinski > 2008-05-14 (Day 12) I've been freaking out all day. I can't sit still and my mind is flying through everything while not concentrating on anything. I don't know why I felt like this today but it was really annoying. I got off work at about 11:30 PM, went home and went for a bike ride. By the time I got home it was after 2AM. I just kept going and going trying to wear myself out. I feel so-so about this photo. It's three exposures blended together. Two for the building and one for myself. I've never done a night shot like this before with flash so it was a learning experience. I should have boosted the flash power up about a stop or two and it would have been nice to have something up higher to sit the flash on instead of the ground. I guess I'll have to try this one again some time. If anyone is wondering the building behind me is the Riverside Library. It was one of only a few buildings I could find with lights still on it. I wanted to get the watertower with the moon behind it but the lights were off.
Nick Wrzesinski > 2008-06-21 I'm packing up to go to California for a week. Heading out to SM headquarters for training. It should be fun and I'm looking forward to seeing the Smuggers I know and the rest of the Support Hero's that are in Cali. As a side note, the Smug Sorcerers have really outdone themselves with the latest update. Especially the new Smug Vault. If you have no idea what I'm taking about check out the News tab in your control panel or check out the Release Notes Blog.

Nick Wrzesinski > 2008-05-04 (Day 2) I got of my butt today and went for a bike ride. I enjoy riding through the woods and should really do it more. For a while I was doing 10 miles a day a couple days a week but that was a couple years ago and I'm starting over from scratch. I would like to be abe to do 40-50 miles in a day but for now I'll settle with 5.
